The Australasian Osseointegration Society (AOS) is an organisation focused on encouraging
progression of knowledge and technical skills in the field of implant dentistry.
Through AOS we aim to bring together a group of like-minded dental professionals to share
information and experiences with the intention of providing patient care of the highest standard.
AOS provides a forum for those involved with placing and restoring dental implants on both
sides of the Tasman to participate in a variety of implant related continuing education events.
Implants have become an extremely valuable tool in modern dentistry. When used appropriately,
they give us the ability to deliver our patients with comfortable, durable and predictable
restorative solutions. Implants are not teeth and require a unique set of skills and knowledge
to minimise the pitfalls associated with placing and restoring dental implants.
Our intention at AOS is to engage the entire team involved with distributing, placing,
restoring and maintaining implant supported restorations to optimise treatment outcomes.
